Lillian Farfour "Lilli" Wood, 53, LaGrange, passed away Friday, Dec. 1, 2017. Lilli was born Jan. 9, 1964 in Goldsboro, to the late John Allen Farfour and Grace Howell Farfour. Lilli graduated from Wayne Country Day School and UNC-Wilmington. She worked 19 years with Lowe's.
A free spirit and lover of the outdoors, Lilli was most happy when spending time in the sunshine. Lilli loved trips to the beach and found great peace in watching the wild horses at Cape Lookout. Lilli lived for the weekends and many fond memories were made during trips to Kerr Lake or the North Carolina mountains. Her beautiful laugh, larger-than-life personality and concern for others endeared her to everyone she crossed paths with. Her passion for animals and her love for her four-legged friends made each day a blessing. Lilli's family has many fond memories of her love for Christmas and her wonderful cooking. No one made a better breakfast casserole. Her memory will always shine brightly in each of our hearts.
A service to celebrate and honor Lilli's life will be held Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017, at 4 p.m. from Rouse Funeral Home.
Lilli is survived by her husband of 15 years, Jeffery Dean Wood: two stepchildren, Arrin Herring and husband, Vernon, and Ethan Wood and wife, Kerri; three siblings, John Allen Farfour II, Kenneth Brian Farfour and wife, Susan, and Randall Glenn Farfour; and father and mother-in-law, Earl and Jean Wood.
