Glyn Robert Flowers, 86, Goldsboro, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017, at Wayne UNC Health Care.
Glyn was born in Fairmont on Dec. 3, 1930, to the late Clyde and Maggie Johnson Flowers. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, during the Vietnam and Korean Wars and retired after 21 years of service.
A private service for the family will be held at a later date in the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
Glyn is survived by his wife, Andree M. Flowers; son and daughter-in-law, David and Lisa Flowers of Alexandria, Va.; daughter and son-in-law, Yvonne Flowers and Dale Pate of Lumberton; grandchildren, David Paul Flowers, John Mark Flowers, and Nicole Yvonne Locklear; and one great-grandchild, Zoey Oxendine.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 930B Wellness Drive, Greenville, N.C., 27834.
