Agnes Carlyle Shepard, 90, Kinston, passed away Monday, Aug. 7, 2017, at Signature Healthcare.
She was a member of British Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. Agnes loved her Lord and her family.
She loved gardening, cooking and making cakes for her neighbors, family and church family.
She was preceded in death her husband, R.B. Shepard Sr.; her son, Bob Shepard; and two infants, Kenny and Carlyle.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, from the chapel of Garner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Terry Coates officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at the home of her daughter, 2468 Neuse Road.
Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Westview Cemetery.
Survivors include her daughter, Joy Waters and husband, Bert, of Kinston; her son, Hal Shepard of Kinston; daughter-in-law, Barbara Shepard of Seven Springs; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
