JOHNIE MACK HARE

Johnie Mack Hare, 73, Goldsboro, passed away Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017, at Rex Healthcare in Raleigh.

Mack was born in Wayne County May 24, 1944, to the late Robert and Dollie Jones Hare.

He was a member of Patetown Church of God.

Mack proudly served his country in the United States Army.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service to celebrate Mack's life at 7 p.m. in the chapel, with the Rev. Marvin Wiggins and the Rev. Jimmy Scott officiating.

Interment will be Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, at 11 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mack is survived by his wife, Betty Stocks Hare; son, Leonard Hare and his children of West Virginia; and brother, Watus Hare and wife, Vicki, of Kenly.

He is also survived by his extended family, which includes several stepchildren, stepgrandchildren, a stepgreat-grandchild and several nieces and nephews whom he loved very much.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Alice Faye Jones Hare and Beverly Politz Hare, and three brothers, Charles Ray "Chuck" Hare, James Hare and Robert Edward Hare.

Memorials may be given in Mack's memory to Patetown Church of God, 215 Church of God Road, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
