Ruby Cole Barbour, 94, Princeton, died Tuesday afternoon at her home.

Born Dec. 5, 1921, in Johnston County to the late Thesly Alison “T.A.” and Julia Brown Cole, she was the widow of Roland Holt Barbour, and was preceded in death by a daughter, Julia Frances “Fran” Parker.

Ruby was a longtime member of Princeton Baptist Church, where she played the piano and the organ for many years.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016, in the church fellowship hall from 5 to 7 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. in the church sanctuary, with the Rev. Dwayne Batten officiating. A burial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Princeton Cemetery.

Surviving are her daughter, Donna Langley and husband, Danny, of Princeton; sister, Helen Pierce of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Bryan Langley and wife, Kim, and Regina Ezzell; great-grandchildren, Heather Gaines and husband, Mitch, and Bryan Langley Jr.; and a special niece, Joyce Corbett.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the ladies who looked after Mrs. Barbour with such great care and love.
