Bonnie Taylor Jackson, 94, Goldsboro, passed away Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center with her loving family close by.

Bonnie was born in Wayne County Nov. 2, 1921, to the late Jim and Nora Kornegay Taylor.

She had retired from General Electric, and was an active member of the Toms Club and the GE Retirees.

Bonnie also enjoyed yard work and gardening, as reflected by her beautiful yard.

She was a member of Daniels Memorial United Methodist Church and the Mary Martha Circle.

A service celebrating Bonnie's life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Colby Leonard officiating. Interment will follow in Willow Dale Cemetery.

Bonnie is survived by her son, Sam Rabon Jr. and wife, Yvonne, of Raleigh; stepdaughter, Maggie Funderburk of Florida; grandson, Sammy Rabon III and wife, Lisa, of Raleigh; great-grandchildren, Taylor Rabon, Allyson Rabon and Mackenzie Rabon; nieces, Bonnie Smith, Mary Frances Taylor and Deecee McHose; and nephews, Delbert Taylor Jr. and Ray Todd Taylor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Delbert Taylor, Lester Taylor and Ellis Ray Taylor; special friend, James Coker; and sister-in-law, Gladys Jackson.

The family will receive friends Friday, Aug. 12, 2016, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at her home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Daniels Memorial United Methodist Church, 2803 E. Ash St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
