Raymond Hairr, 73, passed away Monday at his home.
He was born in Wayne County to the late Edison and Elma Butts Hairr.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery of Mount Olive.
The family will be receiving friends for one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Hairr is survived by his friend, Sheila Tew; a cousin, Mitch Butts; and several nieces and nephews.
His beloved dog, Trixie, preceded him in death.
