HAYLEY P. EBERWEIN

Dec. 5, 1968-July 12, 2016

Hayley Price Eberwein, 47, Clayton, received her heavenly promotion while surrounded by family Tuesday, July 12, 2016.

Hayley was born Dec. 5, 1968, in Wayne County to Carol Daly Price and the late Malcolm Pinkney Price.

Hayley graduated from East Carolina University with a master’s degree in education.

She then embarked on a 24-year career in education.

From 1992 to 1997, Hayley taught at Spring Creek Elementary School, and from 1998 to 2016, she taught at East Clayton Elementary School.

Hard working and dedicated to her students, Hayley’s encouragement and drive to see her students succeed were a bright ray of sunshine at East Clayton.

Hayley relished in her roles as a wife, mother, daughter and sister. Her life revolved around her family and its well-being.

Hayley displayed a quiet inner strength that many found inspirational. With eyes that sparkled and an accepting smile that could brighten any room, Hayley tackled everything with strength, determination and a small dose of wit.

She was passionate about scrapbooking and chronicling the lives of “her boys.”

Nothing was better than a weekend in the mountains with her family.

Her life set an example for her family and students that will lead them throughout their lives.

A service to celebrate and honor Hayley’s life will be held Friday, July 15, 2016, at 7 p.m. in the Meeting House of New Hope Friends. A graveside committal service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Seven Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery.

In addition to her mother, Hayley is survived by her husband of 21 years, Brian Eberwein; three sons, Will Eberwein, Wes Eberwein and Nick Eberwein; two brothers, Michael Price and Graham Price; mother-in-law, Mary Eberwein; and father-in-law, Jim Eberwein and wife, Carol.

In addition to her father, Hayley was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Wilbur and Annie Brown Daly, and her paternal grandparents, Pinkney and Lyvonne Garner Price.

Hayley’s family will receive friends Friday following the service in the Family Life Center of New Hope Friends, and at the home of her mother at other times.
