JUAN QUINTANILLA

Mr. Juan Quintanilla died Friday, July 1, 2016, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center at the age of 76.

A native of General Teran, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, he had been a resident of the Faison area for more than 35 years.

He had been a longtime employee of Southern Produce Distributors in Faison.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Maria Lucila Almaguer Quintanilla, and their 10 children, Juan Martin Quintanilla of Faison, Andres Omar Quintinilla of Faison, Julio Cesar Quintanilla of Elgin, Ill., Jose Eulalio Quintanilla of Faison, Jesus Hector Quintanilla of Elgin, Ill., Jose Alfredo Quintanilla of Faison, Juan Carlos Quintanilla of Faison, Reyna Alicia Bolanos of South Haven, Miss., Noe Arnoldo Quintanilla of Faison and Lucy Elisa Quintanilla of Faison.

Also surviving are 26 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Roberto Quintanilla of Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico.

A gathering, along with a service of remembrance with a blessing of the Catholic Church, was held Saturday, July 2, beginning at 1 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive. Father Marco Antonio Gonzalez of Farmville presided. Burial will be today, Sunday, July 3, in Faison Cemetery at 3:30 p.m.
