Garland Rayford "Ray" Hinnant Jr., 69, Morehead City, died Saturday at home.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Selma Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Joey Yow officiating.
He was born April 5, 1947, in Johnston County to Luda Braswell Hinnant of Smithfield and the late Garland Rayford Hinnant.
He is survived by a daughter.
Visitation will follow the service at the cemetery.
