Annette Parker Johnson, 61, Goldsboro, passed away early Tuesday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her family.

Annette was born in Wayne County March 5, 1955, to the late Bernice Edward Parker and Ruth Murphy Brown.

She had worked for many years as a registered nurse at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Annette was a generous and gracious woman. She will be remembered for the love and laughter that she shared during her well-lived life.

Annette loved to shop, and always enjoyed finding a "good find."

A service celebrating Annette's life will be held Thursday, April 14, 2016, at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with Ivy Parker officiating. The Nightingale Nurse's will remember her service as a nurse during the service.

The Johnson family will receive friends immediately following the service at Seymour Funeral Home.

Annette is survived by her husband of 42 years, Mark Johnson; daughters, Allison Geigel and husband, Carlos, of Greenville and Erin Lynch and husband, Keith, of Louisburg; and her grandchildren, Carlos Geigel, Lydia Geigel, Kayla Lynch and Troy Lynch.

She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Marie Parker Jones and husband, Cecil, Bernice Edward Parker Jr. and wife, Mae, Kenneth Ray Parker, Larry Keith Toler and wife, Julia, Mable Toler Gray, Nellie Faye Toler Martin and H.C. Toler Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Annette's memory to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534, or Cures for the Colors, Southeastern Medical Oncology Center, 203 Cox, Blvd., Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
