Walter "Tennie" Boykin, 78, Kenly, died Sunday at Wake Medical Center.
Graveside service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Mount Zion Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Lewis Godwin officiating.
He was born in Johnston County Oct. 25, 1937, to the late Lether and Mary Horne Boykin.
Visitation will follow the service at the cemetery.
