LUWENDA FLOREN BROWN

Luwenda Floren "Wendy" Brown, 66, of Goldsboro died Nov. 9 in the early morning at her home.

Wendy was born in Wayne County on June 2, 1949, to the late Seymour Brown and Pamela Ackerman Brown.

She had worked as an information specialist with the United States Air Force at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro.

Wendy enjoyed making crafts, which included crocheting, needlepoint and cross stitching. Above all, Wendy will be remembered for being a die-hard Carolina Tarheel fan and a gracious giver to many charitable causes.

Wendy is survived by her uncle, Roger Ackerman and wife, Deane of Sumter, S.C.; niece, Emily Deckelbaum; and nephew, Jeremy Deckelbaum. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Lee Brown.

A service celebrating Wendy's life will be held at a later date at the Beth Meyer Synagogue in Raleigh. Wendy will be buried in Jerusalem, Israel.
