OTHA GENE WILLOUGHBY

June 3, 1947-July 16, 2015

Otha Gene Willoughby, 68, Dudley, passed away Thursday night at his residence.

He was the son of the late Otha and Girtle Lee Huffman Willoughby, and was married to the late Annie Rose Willoughby.

Mr. Willoughby was a veteran of the United States Navy, and was retired from Cooper Standard Products and Burlington Industries.

A funeral service will be held at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Monday at 7 p.m. Committal will be Tuesday morning at 11 in Wayne Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Monday evening following the service.

Gene is survived by a daughter, Melissa "Missy" Hicks and husband, Ray of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Bridgette and Allen McCullen; a great-grandson, Jaylan McCullen; sisters, Marie Willoughby and Penny Kearney and husband, Malcolm, all of Dudley; brothers, Jimmy Willoughby and wife, Jean, of Goldsboro and Kenny Willoughby and wife, Teresa, of Rosewood; his Chihuahua, Tiny; and many nieces and nephews.

Gene was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Eugene Willoughby.
