Kristie Alana Garris, 37, Goldsboro, passed away Friday, July 17, 2015, at her home.
Kristie was born in Wayne County, N.C., Nov. 26, 1977, to Allen Garris and the late Brenda Kay Boyette Garris.
A true angel, having innocence and purity of heart, she was a miracle and a blessing from the moment she was born. She shaped the lives of family, friends and random strangers in ways that made them into better people.
Kristie loved her church, Rosewood First Baptist, family gatherings and shopping.
She will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the Family Life Center at Rosewood First Baptist Church, followed by a service to celebrate Kristie's life in the church at 11 a.m. Dr. Mike Collier will officiate. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
In addition to her father, Kristie is survived by her sisters, Suzie Hilbert and husband, Wayne, of Rosewood, Debbie Meek and husband, Dave, of Rosewood, Wendy O'Quinn and husband, Edgar, of Pikeville and Amy Goode and John of Spivey's Corner.
Although flowers are welcome, the family requests memorials be made to Rosewood First Baptist Church, 562 N.C. 581, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
