JaQuawn Montrell Barden, 20, 104 Dwight Lane, passed Saturday in El Paso, Texas.
He was born Jan. 20, 1995, in Wayne County to Latisha Robinson Barden Cowan and the late Daryle Barden.
He will be funeralized Sunday at 2 p.m. at Bear Creek Missionary Baptist Headquarters, 1800 S. Slocumb St. Apostle Kenneth Vaughn will officiate, with burial following in Wayne Memorial Park.
He leaves to mourn a daughter, Aliyah Barden of Goldsboro; his mother, Latisha Robinson Cowan; stepfather, Darryl Cowan of the home; siblings, Daryle Barden Jr. and Jada Cowan of Goldsboro; stepbrother, Darryl Cowan Jr. of Georgia; and grandparents, Geraldine Robinson of Goldsboro, Faye Barden of Washington, D.C., and Mary Cowan of Goldsboro.
Visitation Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Haskins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the residence, where it will assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
