Retired United States Air Force Senior Master Sgt. Douglas A. Smith, 70, Goldsboro, passed away suddenly Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at his home.
He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, and retired with the rank of senior master sergeant.
A service celebrating his life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Seymour Funeral Home. Military honors will follow the service.
Douglas is survived by his wife, Kum Hwa Kim; son, Robin Smith and wife, Ingrid, of Boston, Mass.; brother, Larry Smith and wife, Peggy, of Portland, Ore.; and sisters, Charlene Zafiriou and husband, Costos, of Vancouver, Wash., and Mary Erb of Portland, Ore.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Smith and Ruth Vail Klaver.
