Jake "Bozo" Farmer Jr., 89, Goldsboro, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015, at the Brian Center.
Jake was born in Wayne County Dec. 1, 1925, to the late Jake and Alice Matthews Farmer.
He retired from Wayne Roofing Co. after 45 years of service.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2015, at Wayne Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Friday following the service at the cemetery.
Jake is survived by his sons, Robert Farmer, James Farmer and Billy Farmer and wife, B.J.; daughter, Betty Waters and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Billy Jake Farmer, Eric Farmer and Mitzi Farmer; and two great-grandchildren, Lillie Ann and Chloe.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Farmer; brothers, Percy Farmer and Horace Farmer; and sister, Lois Frye.
