Benjamin Lee Crews, 67, of Dudley, passed away Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

He was the son of the late Pony Bill and Annie Lee Corbett Crews, and was the husband of Betty Crews.

He was a retired employee of Butterball with 27 years of service.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.

Committal services will follow at Pineview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children, Sandra Grant of Dudley, Angie Matney and husband, Joseph, of Dudley, Candy Crews, Bettie Crews, David Allen Crews of Dudley, and Benjamin Lee Crews Jr. and wife, Karol, of Seaford, Del.; sister, Barbara Ann Ivey and husband, Edmond, of South Carolina and Patricia Lozier, and husband, Vic, of Dudley; brothers, Carol Crews and wife, Marjorie, of La Grange, Benton Crews and wife, Gerry, of Fayetteville, Billy Crews and wife, Betty, of California, Morris Cruise and wife, Glenda, of Goldsboro, Kenny Crews and wife, Phyllis, of Dudley and Willie Crews and wife, Anita, of Roseville; grandchildren, Jonathon Grant, Justin Matney, Michael Matney, Ashley Crews, Logan Crews and Joshua Newsome Jr.; a special nephew, Johnny Crews and wife, Sue, of Mount Olive; his mother-in-law, Edna Boykin, of Garland; his brother-in-law, J.W. Boykin, and wife, Mindy; and sister-in-law, Clair Bordeaux.
