Donald Ray Newsome, 69, died Wednesday in WakeMed of Raleigh.
Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Kenly Church of God, with the Rev. Ralph Parker officiating.
Born Sept. 13, 1945, in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Raymond Delwood and Ida Mae Potter Newsome. He was married to Brenda G. Newsome.
He is survived by two sons and two daughters.
Visitation will be noon to 1 p.m. Saturday.
