Robert Burke Herring, 90, Rose Hill, died Thursday at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Zion Presbyterian Church. Private burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
He was born May 19, 1924, in Duplin County to Dallas Burke Herring and Lulu Weiss Southerland Herring.
Visitation will follow the service.
