Barbara Cottle Parker, 76, Goldsboro, passed away Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center with her sister by her bedside.
Barbara was born in Wayne County Jan. 8, 1939, to the late Callie Brock Williamson.
She was a member of First Christian Church, where she served in many capacities over the years.
Barbara retired from R.G. Barry of Goldsboro after 28 years of service, and later retired from O'Berry Center after five years of service.
A service celebrating Barbara's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, at First Christian Church, with the Rev. Dr. Frederick W. Clarke officiating.
Barbara is survived by her sister, Linda Cottle McCoy and brother-in-law, Ken McCoy of Goldsboro; brother, Jim Bass of Atlanta, Ga.; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given in Barbara's memory to First Christian Church, 1609 E. Ash St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530, or the Wayne County Humane Society, P.O. Box 821, Goldsboro, N.C., 27533.
