JOE NATHAN BROADHEAD
Joe Nathan Broadhead, 81, passed away from injuries received in an auto accident.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, at Seymour Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m.
Viewing will also be Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1000 11th St., Goldsboro, with the funeral at 11 a.m. at the church. The burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Joe was retired Vietnam veteran, having served in the United States Air Force for 23 years.
He also retired from the church after 20 years of service.
Joe was an avid gardener, and shared his love of sports by coaching youth teams and officiating baseball, football and basketball.
He was known for his constant smile and giving spirit.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty Sanford Broadhead; three sons, Steve and wife, Laura, of Cumming, Ga., Wayne and wife, Kathy, of Jessup, Ga., and Mike and wife, Susan, of Newnan, Ga.; 11 grandchildren, Lindsay Jones and spouse, Cameron, Shelley Sears and spouse, Stephen, Stephen Broadhead, Amber Barlow and spouse, Travis, Dusty Broadhead and spouse, Haylee, Ryan Broadhead, Nathan Broadhead, Ben Broadhead and spouse, Ashley, Kelsey Broadhead, Daniel Broadhead and Andrew Broadhead; five great-grandchildren, Owen, Samuel, Frank, Eli and Adelyn; a sister, Faye Durham; and several nieces and nephews.
