Eleanor Gray, 63, LaGrange, passed away Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015.

Eleanor was born Sept. 27, 1951, in Wayne County to Mildred Williams Gray of LaGrange and the late Robert "Red" Gray.

In addition to her father, Eleanor was preceded in death by two siblings, Julia G. Gay and Jerry Lee Gray.

Eleanor worked with the Goldsboro News-Argus for 25 years as a paper carrier, and was a member of Walnut Creek Free Will Baptist Church.

Eleanor enjoyed time spent outdoors on the family farm. She had a special place in her heart for animals. Eleanor loved caring for her beloved dogs and the animals of the family farm.

Quiet, kind and always willing to help, Eleanor was always available for her family and church family.

A graveside service of remembrance will be held Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015, at 11 a.m. from Gray Family Cemetery, with the Rev. Tony McLamb officiating.

In addition to her mother, Eleanor is survived by a son, Robert Lee "Robbie" Radford and wife, Tracy, of LaGrange; brother, Ronnie Gray of LaGrange; brother-in-law, Joe Gay of LaGrange; grandson, Jordan Chase Hatfield; a special nephew, Jason Gay; a special cousin, Randy Gray; a dear friend, Margie Holmes; and her beloved Australian shepherd, Savannah.

The family will receive friends at the home of her mother and following the graveside service of remembrance.
