William Andrew Alston, 65, 105 Royal Court, Dudley, passed away Tuesday in Wayne Memorial Hospital.
He was born Jan. 23, 1949, to J.D. and Marie Artis Alston in Wayne County.
Funeral services were originally scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, but will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Bear Creek Association Headquarters, with the Rev. James Jones officiating. His mortal frame will be laid to rest in Wayne Memorial Park North.
His memory is cherished by his wife, Gloria Brewington Alston of the home; children, Stephanie Jones of Goldsboro, William J. Alston and Tonya L. Alston of home; and five grandchildren.
Visitation Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Haskins Funeral Home, Goldsboro. The family will receive at the residence, where it will assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
