Doris Byrd Sessoms, 74, 30 S. Ridge Lane, Clinton, died at Sampson Regional Medical Center Wednesday.
Funeral will be Saturday at 6 p.m. at Royal-Hall Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Dwight Sessoms officiating. Graveside service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Grandview Memorial Park.
Born in 1940 in Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late John Wesley and Ellen Bell Byrd. She was married to the late James Henry "J.H" Sessoms.
She is survived by a son.
Visitation will follow the service at the funeral home, and other times, will be at her home.
