Hedwig Barfield, 78, 169 Foxhall Court, Raeford, died Sunday at home.
Born in Germany, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Elisabeth Schlotterbeck, and wife of the late Joseph Barfield.
Three children survive.
Visitation, with the family present, will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home chapel.
