Lisa Ann Herring Jones, 54, died Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Born in Jacksonville, Fla., she was the daughter of Sadie Van Houten of Mount Olive and the late Benjamin Jack Herring, and wife of the late Jerry T. Jones.
Lisa was quoted as saying, "My happiness comes from my babies."
A service to celebrate the life of Lisa will be held Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with pastor Michael Lewis officiating.
Family members will greet friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
In addition to her mother, Lisa is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Jenifer and Joseph Barley and Melissa and Eddie Barnes; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Brad and Denise Herring and Bob Herring and Melissa Herring; a sister, Lora Walton; two grandchildren, Joneshia and Jerrica Barnes; and several special nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
