EDWARD G. BRITT

Edward Gray Britt, 85, Windsor Point, Apex, passed away Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014.
Mr. Britt was born June 14, 1929, in Wayne County to the late Robert W. Britt and Clara Mae Grant Britt.
Edward served his country in the United States Army, and later graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science degree in business with a concentration in accounting.
He worked as a certified public accountant from 1958 to 1998.
Edward last worked with Preferred Furniture Components in High Point.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014, at 3 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home of LaGrange.
Edward is survived by two sisters, Jean Casey Becton of Goldsboro and Nina Ellen Britt of Kinston.
In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by a brother, Harvey Britt, and a sister, Elizabeth Britt Askew.
A time of fellowship will follow the memorial service.
