HORACE N. MOORE

Horace Nelson Moore, 63, of Hopewell, Va., passed away Wednesday morning, July 23, surrounded by family at Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center.

A memorial service to remember his life will be held Monday, July 28, from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. at Wesley United Methodist in Hopewell, Va.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, Aug. 2, at Park East Church of God in Goldsboro, N.C., at 11 a.m. Interment will follow immediately in Pine View Cemetery.

Mr. Moore, a retired sign designer and sales representative, was one of 17 children born to his late parents, Clayton R. and Dorothy Sasser Moore of Seven Springs, N.C.

He is survived by his son, Michael T. Moore and companion, Ashley Carlson, of Virginia Beach, Va.

Also surviving are his 15 siblings and their spouses, Annie M. and Tommy Williams of Prince George, Va., Jan M. and George Raecher of Goldsboro, N.C., Henry and Bonnie Moore of Chester, Va., Sue M. and Bob White of Goldsboro, N.C., Shelton and Brenda Moore of Seven Springs, N.C., Kenneth Moore of Carolina Beach, N.C., the Rev. Thomas and Donnie Moore of Clayton, N.C., Iris M. and Jimmy Hudson of Seven Springs, N.C., the Rev. John and Wanda Moore of Seven Springs, N.C., Bill and Melinda Moore of Littleton, N.C., Dorothy M. Messere of Spotsylvania, Va., Dixie M. and Kelly Shiels of Charlotte, N.C., Donna M. and Dwight Kearney of Seven Springs, N.C., Darryl and Michelle Moore of Statesville, N.C., and Carol M. and Jon Gillis of Goldsboro, N.C.; a sister-in-law, Minnie Moore of Seven Springs; as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his brother, Roscoe.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice PAL, 1125 McGuire VA Medical Center, 1201 Broad Rock Blvd., Richmond, Va., 23249. In the memo, please include Horace N. Moore.
