Carson Ted Butler, 64, passed away Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family.
Ted was born Oct. 1, 1949, to the late Femmous Butler and
Vernell Womble Butler.
Ted had worked as a security guard with Southco Distributing Co.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2014, at Wayne Memorial Park, with the Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating.
Ted is survived by his wife, Barbara Anders Butler; sister, Linda Petras of Goldsboro; brother, Steve Butler and wife, Janice, of Goldsboro; brother-in-law, Earl Anders Jr. of Dudley; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Brock, and nephew, Matthew Bradford.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Seymour Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts be given to Seymour Funeral Home, 1300 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C.
