The Rev. Vennie Johnson Hairston, 606 W. Spruce St., Goldsboro, passed away Sunday at home.
Celebration of life services will be held Sunday at Goldsboro-Raleigh Institute, 211 W. Hooks River Road, Goldsboro N.C., at noon. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
A wake will be held Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at St. James Church of Christ, 603 W. Spruce St., Goldsboro N.C.
The family will receive friends at the residence, where it will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
Community Funeral Home of Goldsboro, 401 N. William St., 919,330-3009, is serving the family.
