Valerie Elaine Render, 54, passed away peacefully New Year's day at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends following the service.
Mrs. Render was born in San Diego, Calif., Oct. 21, 1959.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Marty Render; two sons, Walter Render II and wife, Kristin, of Goldsboro and Micheal Render and wife, Kristina, of Smithfield; her mother, Jacqueline Cassidy of Goldsboro; a brother, Robert Cassidy and wife, Kerry, of California; nieces, Emily and Haley Cassidy; a sister, Pamela Thompson and husband, Bill, of Goldsboro; and a granddaughter on the way, Kynleigh Render.
Mrs. Render was preceded in death by her father, Lyle William Foster.
