BOBBIE SEAY CROOM

Mrs. Bobbie Seay Croom, 72, 304 N. Alabama Ave., Goldsboro, N.C., departed her earthly life Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Goldsboro, N.C.

Bobbie was born in Wayne County Nov. 17, 1941, to the late Mr. Junius Seay and Mrs. Syvilla Wilson Seay.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmond Croom; six siblings, Samuel Seay, Ethel Bonner, Theodore Seay, Lafayette Seay, Christine Seay and Betty Jean Seay; and a child, Lillie Bell Croom.

Bobbie attended Dillard High School, and graduated in the class of 1960.

After graduation, she traveled to New York, where she started to work.

Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at 11 a.m. from McIntyre Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C. Pastor Thomasine Cowan will officiate. Burial will follow in Willowdale Cemetery, 306 E. Elm St., Goldsboro, N.C.

Also, a public viewing will be held Saturday, Jan. 4,2014, from 10 to 11 a.m., in the Apostle D. L. McIntyre Memorial Chapel, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C.

Mrs. Croom leaves to cherish her loving and precious memories to her sons, Raymond Wilson and wife, Kimberly, of Virginia Beach, Va., and Howard Croom of Goldsboro, N.C.; her daughter, Jadie Deal; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph Seay and Billie Seay; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

At other times, the family will receive friends and other family members at the residence of Mr. Howard Croom, 308 Kennon Court, Goldsboro, N.C.

Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, the family and friends will assemble one hour prior at 8:50 a.m. at the residence in preparation for the funeral procession.

Flowers may be sent to McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C., beginning Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
