KATRINA SUTTON JACKSON

FAISON -- Mrs. Katrina Sutton Jackson, 71, Suttontown Road, passed from her earthly home to her heavenly home Jan. 1, 2014.

A celebration of life will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3 at Goshen United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Rochele Bailey officiating. A private graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Newton Grove.

Born March 1, 1942, Mrs. Jackson was the daughter of the late William Brantley Sutton and Annie Mae Jones Sutton.

Mrs. Jackson was a music educator for more than 30 years, and touched many students with her passion for music.

Her favorite pastime was playing bridge. She belonged to numerous bridge clubs throughout her life.

Mrs. Jackson was a lifelong member of Goshen United Methodist Church, where she served for 36 years as musician and choir director.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her
husband of 50 years,
F. Sherrill Jackson;
her daughter, Robin J. Walston and her husband, J.D. Walston; grandchildren, Sarah Rachel Price and Zachary Walston; and brother, William B.
Sutton Jr. and wife, Karen.

Three nieces, a nephew, cousins and a host of friends also survive.

The family will receive friends Friday from 5 to 6:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church, and other times at the home.
