MOUNT OLIVE -- Mr. Cecil R. Williams, Sr., 84, passed away early Monday morning, Dec. 23, 2013.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, Dec. 28, at 3 p.m. at Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive, and will be officiated by the Rev. Sherman Dilley.
The family will hold visitation at Tyndall Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27.
Mr. Williams, a retired plumber and appliance repairman, was a member of Cricket Ridge Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.
He was the son of the late William Ivey Williams and Pearl Hollowell Williams, and was a native of Faison. He was the husband of the late Margaret Jones Williams.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn Ann and Charles Witherington of Mount Olive; a son and daughter-in-law, Cecil and Wilma Williams of Seven Springs; three grandchildren, Michael Witherington, Gary Witherington and wife, Kelly, and Cecilia W. Anderson and husband, Daniel; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen W. Flowers of Faison; and a brother, Bernice Williams and wife, Esther, of Faison.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Cricket Ridge Church.
