Catherine Oliver Thompson, 85, passed away today at Rex Hospital in Raleigh.
A native of Johnston County, Catherine was the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Julia Fields Oliver. She was married to the late Jesse M. Thompson.
Catherine was a member of Avent United Methodist Church in Raleigh, and a former member of St. Luke United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Ann Thompson Yount and husband, Eric, of Raleigh; granddaughter, Hannah Yount; and brother, Franklin F. Oliver of LaGrange.
