MOUNT OLIVE -- Benjamin Bass, 81, 417 E. Franklin St., died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at New St. Delight Holy Church, with Dr. Quincy Gardner officiating.
Burial will be in Oakview Cemetery.
Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Ellard Bass Sr. and Geneva Bass, and the husband of Athalene Kornegay Bass.
Seven children survive.
Visitation will be today from 3 to 7 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home chapel. The family will receive friends at the home.
