EUREKA — Sally Ann Hood Yelverton, 83, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Eureka Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont.
Mrs. Yelverton was born in Wayne County on Feb. 1, 1930, to the late Ira and Sallie Cox Hood. She was a nurse and a member of Eureka United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Randall Hood Yelverton of the home and Marshall Stephen Yelverton of Fremont; and one grandchild, Marshall Stephen Yelverton Jr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond M. Yelverton, who passed away June 12, 2013.
The family is being served by Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home, 102 N. Pine St. in Fremont.
