Belinda Kay Snipes Bowers, 51, of Rosewood passed easily at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville on Oct. 3, 2013, from injuries sustained in an auto accident Sept. 5, 2013, near her home.
Kay was a NAII at Brian Center in Goldsboro. She was a dedicated caregiver. Kay is survived by her husband, Stan Bowers, previously of Dothan, Ala.; her children, Stephen, Hollie and Kaitlynn, all of the home; her sister, Annette Snipes of Pompano Beach, Fla.; and a special aunt, Emma Lee Snipes Mitchell, 91, of Boone Hill, N.C.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Ray and Alice Hines Snipes of Rosewood.
A service to celebrate Kay’s life will be held Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home, 1500 Wayne Memorial Drive, in Goldsboro. The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to children with special needs charities.
