URIAS BERRY

Mr. Urias Berry, 80, of 510 Weaver Drive was born to the union of Walter and Lilly Berry on Oct. 9, 1932, in Richlands, N.C.

He walked into divine health on Sept. 30, 2013, in Goldsboro, N.C.

Urias was united in marriage to Geneva Elizabeth Williams of St. Petersburg, Fla., on Dec. 26, 1959. Born to this union are Demetria (James) McCreary and Keith Berry, both of Goldsboro. Their union also cherished his son, Richard Maxwell of Brooklyn, N.Y., who preceded him to glory.

The living legacy of Urias Berry also includes sisters Naomi Kinsey of Richlands, N.C., and Betty Humphrey of Kinston, N.C.; brother-in-law Carver Williams of St. Petersburg, Fla.; sister-in-law Jackie Charlote of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Grandchildren Darnell, Genelle, Takoree, James III, Cameron, Amber, Ashley, Angela, and Faith; seven great-grandchildren; nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

His homegoing service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, at 1 p.m. at St. James AME Zion Church, 206 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C., with Dr. Dwight B. Cannon officiating. He will be entombomed at Wayne Memorial Park, 2925 U.S. 117 Highway, Dudley, N.C.

There will be a visitation held on Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m. at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro.
