AGNES MARGARET JAKOB JENSEN

Agnes Margaret Theresa Jakob Jensen passed away peacefully Oct. 3, 2013, at Westminster Canterbury, her home in Lynchburg, Va.

She was born Oct. 23, 1925, in Philadelphia, Pa., to Fred J.J. Jakob and Adeline Kimball Jakob. Agnes was loved by her late husband, John C. (Jack) Jensen, and is survived by three children, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Agnes and Jack lived for many years in Goldsboro, N.C., where they raised their family. She took great pride in her roles as teacher, guidance counselor and administrator in both Goldsboro and Wayne County Schools.

After retirement, Agnes had fine memories of the years she and Jack spent traveling the country in their RV, visiting family, making new friends and exploring the United States.

She was a kind and gentle lady with a positive spirit who delighted in her family.

Survivors include her children, Marcia Jensen Steere McDuffie, M.D., of Roseland, Va.; Nina Jensen Krasnow of Seattle, Wash.; and John C. Jensen Jr. of Amherst, Va.

She will rest next to her husband in Arlington National Cemetery.
