MOUNT OLIVE -- James Randall "Randy" Barwick Jr., 42, passed away Thursday morning, Oct. 3, at Wayne Memorial Hospital with his mother at his side.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, Oct. 5, at 2 p.m. at Pineview Cemetery in Seven Springs, officiated by bishop Ray Lane.
Friends and family are being received at the family's residence at 3557 Emmaus Church Road in Mount Olive.
Flowers are welcome, while memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Okla., 73123.
Randy is survived by his parents, James R. and Tina Lane Barwick of Mount Olive; a brother, Harold Edward "Eddie" Barwick of Mount Olive; a sister, Tina Renee B. Lops of Seven Springs; four nieces, Kristen Barwick, Chasity Barwick, Brittany Perry, Allysa Barwick; a great-niece, Hallie Barwick; and several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Evelyn Barwick and Maurice and Magdaline Lane, and a nephew, Trevor J. Barwick.
He will be remembered for his love of bowling and golf, and for his passion and involvement in Special Olympics.
His family wishes to express a heartfelt thanks to Dr. James Atkins and his staff, and also to Wayne Memorial Hospital's fourth floor staff for their special care given to Randy.
