CHESAPEAKE, Va. -- Janice Deaton Sutton, 71, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at Chesapeake Regional Hospital.
Janice was born in Cumberland County Sept. 28, 1941, to the late Thomas Deaton Sr. and Mildred Rawls Deaton. She was married to the late Allen Sutton.
Janice had worked as a prayer counselor with CBN network.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with pastor Alan Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens in Warsaw.
Janice is survived by her daughters, Amy Turner and husband, Alan, of Yorktown, Va., Christy Biswell and husband, Erich, of Chesapeake, Va., and Jodie Wheeler and husband, Gary, of Huntersville; and nine grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sisters, Sandie Gambill and husband, Rick, and Quita Clifton and husband, Frank; and her brother, Tom Deaton Jr.
The family will receive friends Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
