DUDLEY -- Hazel Leola Barnett Rackley, 92, Pinebranch Lane, died Wednesday morning, June 5, at Genesis Health Care in Mount Olive.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Friday, June 7, at Tyndall Funeral Home, with visitation afterward. Burial will be Saturday, June 8, 11 a.m. at Maplewood Cemetery.
Family and friends are also being received at the Jay and Sally Barnett residence, 601 Eagles Nest Road, Dudley.
Mrs. Rackley, widow of Dewie Blaney Rackley, had worked at King Edward Cigar Co., and had also been a school crossing attendant.
She worshipped at Brogden's Chapel Church.
She was the oldest of seven children born to the late William Henry Barnett and Mary Catherine Mitchell Barnett, with brother, Ardell Barnett, and sister, Lois B. Price, preceding her in death.
She is survived by a son, William Rackley and wife, Joyce, of Dudley; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Elizabeth B. Hall of Mount Olive, Rose B. Kinzel of Dudley and Remona B. Thomas and husband, Max, of Dallas, Ga.; a brother, John Henry "Jay" Barnett; special sister-in-law, Sally Barnett of Dudley; and several nieces and nephews.
