David Lee Porter, 82, died Tuesday at Wake Medical Center.
Graveside service will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
He was born in Jonesboro, Ill., Oct. 11, 1930, to the late George Porter and Gladys McCain Porter. He was married to the late Janie Lee Porter.
He is survived by two daughters.
Arrangements are by Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service Inc.
