LAGRANGE -- Cathy Foss Lewis, 65, LaGrange, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013.
Cathy was born Nov. 20, 1947, in Lenoir County to the late Reginald Dawson "Drake" Foss and Helen Jo Lytle Foss.
Recently retired from Southern Bank, Cathy's vibrant personality and warm smile were welcome sights to her customers.
Cathy was a member of White Oak Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church.
She loved to shop and travel. Cathy especially enjoyed bus trips and cruises. She loved to cook, and enjoyed working in her yard and sunning by the pool. Most of all, Cathy cherished time spent with her family.
A service to celebrate and honor Cathy's life will be held Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, with the Rev. Greg Stancil and the Rev. Bob Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
Cathy is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ray Lewis; two children, Sharon Lewis Radford and husband, Tony, of LaGrange and William Ray "Billy" Lewis II and wife, Angela, of Winterville; granddaughter, Jenna Blake Westbrook; and two special cousins, Simon Wood and Emmitt Foss.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, and at other times it will be at the home.
