GREENVILLE -- Nancy Lewis Edmonson died Monday, April 22, 2013, at the age of 57.
A graveside funeral service will be held in Pinewood Memorial Park in Greenville Friday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. J.D. Herchenhahn officiating.
Nancy was born in Rocky Mount Aug. 25, 1955, to the late Sam and Nell Lewis.
She grew up in Burgaw, and later graduated from Pender Academy in 1973.
Nancy went on to work as a dental assistant, and later as the bookkeeper at Edmonson Construction Co.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Martha Lewis.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Don Edmonson, of 32 years.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Lauren and Leigh; her brothers, Robert Lewis and wife, Linda, and Sam Lewis and wife, Cynthia; her brother-law, Jim Edmonson and wife, Barbara; her niece, Maresa Lewis Dunkel; her nephews, T.J. Lewis and Mark Edmonson; two great-nephews; and a great-niece.
Nancy enjoyed spending time at the beach, playing with her three basset hounds and listening to beach music.
The visitation will be held at Wilkerson Funeral Home, 2100 E. Fifth St., Greenville, N.C., Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
