Ruth M. Becton, 86, 405 N. Virginia St., died Saturday at Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount.
Funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the James T. Haskins Memorial Chapel of Haskins Funeral Home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
She was born May 31, 1926, to Sidney and Jennette McCoy Clark in Cumberland County. She was married to David Becton.
She is survived by three children.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at the residence, where it will assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
