Melton Smith Jr. died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be Friday at Goldsboro-Raleigh District Assembly at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park South.
He was born Aug. 10, 1946, to Kathleen and the late Melton Smith Sr.
He is survived by five children.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family will receive friends at 303 Cedar Road.
Arrangements are by E.M. Matthews Funeral Home and Cremation Inc.
